Joan Baez sang a lovely version but it was written in 1950 by Ed McCurdy and has been recorded by many artists over the years including The Weavers, John Denver, Simon and Garfunkel, Pete Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, Johnny Cash and Donovan.

I learnt it from an early Joan Baez recording, dont know the title as such but the words are:
Last night I had the strangest dream
I'd never had before,
I dreamed the world had all agreed
To put an end to war
I dreamed there was a mighty room
and the room was filled with men
and the paper they were signing said
they'd never fight again
and when the paper was all signed
and a million copies made
they all joined hands, and circled round
and grateful prayers were made
and the people in the streets below
were dancing round and round
with guns and swords and uniforms
all scattered on the ground
last night i had the strangest dream
i'd never had before
i dreamed the world had all agreed
to put an end to war.
